Endings are always hard to watch....
The end of Games of Thrones was yesterday and today a lot of people are unhappy the way it ended. Is it a coincidence people are frustrated with the writing this late in the season or is there a connection to endings and grief. My final day competing was yesterday, it is a difficult thing to say goodbye, and to close a chapter on something that brought so much joy and passion in my life.
I always knew this day would come as we are not immune to mother time or to the end of a journey. There are a variety of other ways I would have envisioned my last competition, but what happened happened and the end came regardless. All endings are hard to absorb, it might not turn out the way we wanted it to end but this further proves we should live in the moment.
Enjoy the journey not the result and take each day to celebrate your struggles you will compete with a cleaner mind and this philosophy will allow you to keep the moments in perspective.
Each moment is never bigger than what we make it, because if you grind if you work hard if you review your work and adjust you will continuously meet success as you do failure.
Things are never as good as we wish them to be or as bad as we believe they are, so tonight when you get home, unwind and celebrate your daily struggle.
John Snow walked into the North at the end of episode 6, exactly as the series begins. After years of battle, years of struggle, failures, and success, he heads north to start a new journey no longer worried about the winter but instead being part of it. Embrace whatever fuels your passion, know it will take years of sacrifice and hard work to mold, after 8 years I now head back to Las Vegas to continue my next journey.
